Part 1: What are some possible themes that occur in your book? What evidence helps you understand that these are important themes in the book?
Part 2: What are some of the conflicts in your book? What evidence from the book helps you to make these claims? Part 3: How does the author use characterization in your book? In other words, what happens in the book that gives you insight into the characters? (Think about the way they behave or how they deal with conflict.) Part 4: Choose five sentences from the final portion of the book that you find particularly compelling. What makes the author's words so interesting? How does the language affect the tone and the mood?
